Bridget’s Storm is a 2-color, 3-fabric quilt in a horizontal setting. It measures 75 x 75 inches. The Storm at Sea block opens itself up for many coloring variations that create secondary designs in the quilt. The quilt featured here is a simple coloring of the Storm at Sea block.
This design uses the Inklingo 9 inch Storm at Sea Collection. I colored the blocks in EQ7 with fabrics from Stonehenge by Northcott.
There are a number of Bridgets and Catherines in my Irish-Canadian lines. A few my female Irish-Canadian ancestors crossed the ocean from Ireland to start new lives in New Brunswick, Canada and many more were born in New Brunswick. The few that crossed the ocean came with families or as single women. Today and tomorrow’s quilts are dedicated to all the women of my Irish-Canadian roots.
