Waynonda’s Winding Ways is a 4-color, 6-fabric quilt in a horizontal setting. The quilt measures 72 x 72 inches. My first design for a Winding Ways quilt was an on-point setting and colored with sea greenish fabrics. When I opened the Winding Ways Design Book, I saw the sample quilt Linda had included in the worksheets with curved edges. I just had to try it out in a new design! This might be one of my top ten favorites in the A-Z series of designs.
This design uses the Inklingo 9” Winding Ways Collection. I colored the blocks in EQ7 with fabrics from Toscana by Northcott.
Waynonda is a living person so I am not sharing any personal information about her. She has one of the more unusual names in my family tree. Don’t you think a Winding Ways quilt was the perfect match for her name?

Copy the information below to a printed Cheat Sheet. I don’t have a copy of this collection so I couldn’t finish filling in the chart below but you can use the information from the collection to figure the sizes to cut and print. To figure fabric yardage, see the section “Planning a Quilt” in the Inklingo collection. |

How to Rotary Cut Curves
The first 3 1/2 minutes of the following video explains how to fold and cut your fabric to make bias binding. This is basically how I do it.
